There's a home we shot that's highlighted in the latest issue of Farmhouse Style which is chock full of imaginative ideas of how to display those spring fresh blooms in your home. In the Linderman home, photographed by Lu Tapp, I used no fewer than a dozen different vessels.... from gunny sacks to pitchers from a vintage milk bucket to old ball jar.... from cement urns and enamel pots to glass wine jugs.... a just plain drinking glass to an old painted picnic tin.... from a glass barrel vase to...well...the kitchen sink! Place your mouse over each image below for the description... photography above by lu tapp vintage oil paintings, barrel vases, white pitchers from @sandralindermanhome/instagram lavender wool throw from West Elm styling by sunday hendrickson AND NOW LITTLE FRITZI BRINGS YOU OTHER CONTAINER IDEAS THAT I'VE STYLED FOR MAGAZINE SHOOTS OVER THE YEARS... In san francisco, I found an old galvanized watering can for the sunflowers. photo by mark lohman In santa monica, I styled pale pink tulips in an elegant glass water pitcher. photo by michael garland On bainbridge island, washington, an antique transferware pitcher did the trick. photo by john ellis In newport beach, california, I arranged lavender tulips in a paper cone that the homeowner had fashioned. photo by mark lohman And, finally, n eureka springs, arkansas, i placed foraged flowers in a pair of beat-up shoes. photo by mark lohman MIGHT YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS FOR FLOWER CONTAINERS? PLEASE TELL ME! Fresh out of fresh flowers? Stay tuned for my next post when you'll see we've used leaves and branches plucked from your front yard for the same effect... And, if you haven't already, please scroll all the way down and subscribe. Thank you!

I love all of the containers you have used. One of my favorite containers that I use is an old beat up copper tea kettle!

Sandra Linderman's home, and your styling, is one of my favorites ever. I still have the magazines where it appeared and I savor it often. You have such a magic touch with the floral arrangements that add extra wow!

All very lovely! I agree that old silver champagne buckets also make great containers. And don't forget those darling decorated cans hanging on a fence (we used them in Romantic Country, remember?). Also vintage canisters ,and arrangements in a cabbage or pumpkins (prefect for fall. Just saying....) Beautiful post! xoxoxo
